Private In-Home Childbirth Workshops
3-hour comprehensive education for expectant couples.
Skip the hospital childbirth classes at RVH, CGMH or HHCC. This private workshop offers a deep dive into the mechanics and the magic of birth, fully customized to your family’s unique wishes and your chosen birth path.
What We Cover:
The Physiology of Labour: Understanding the stages of labour through discussion and visual aids.
Comfort Measures: Hands-on practice with positions, counter-pressure, and rhythmic movement.
Navigating the System: Objective Q&A regarding medical interventions to help you make informed choices.
Guided Practice: Partner-assisted breathing and mindfulness exercises.
Customizable Workshop Tracks:
The Home & Waterbirth Intensive: Preparing your space and mind for a low-intervention birth.
The Hospital Birth Navigator: Understanding protocols, advocacy, and birth mapping.
The Multiples Workshop: Specialized preparation for a twin birth journey.
The Postpartum Transition: Focusing on the "Fourth Trimester," newborn care, and maternal recovery.
Mindful Prenatal Yoga & Birth Preparation
A 2-hour immersive experience for the 2nd and 3rd trimesters.
Unlike a standard fitness class, these sessions are taught through a doula and childbirth educator lens. Drawing on my background in mindfulness meditation and musical education, I use rhythm, breath, and stillness to help you connect with your body and your baby.
Each 120-minute session includes:
Connection & Discussion: A safe space to discuss your physical symptoms, emotional shifts, and birth goals.
The Movement: A curated blend of gentle flow to maintain mobility, followed by long prenatal Yin and Restorative holds to release deep-seated tension.
Hands-on Assists & Massage: Deep relaxation through targeted massage of the forehead, jaw, neck, lower back, and feet—designed to down-regulate your nervous system.
Breathwork & Guided Meditation: Utilizing techniques similar to Hypnobirthing scripts, we practice the "inner work" required for a calm labor.
Note on Natural Induction: After 37 weeks, these sessions can be adjusted to include specific acupressure and movement techniques designed to encourage your body toward natural labor.

The Journey to a Rhythmic Birth: Why Consistency Matters
While a single session offers immediate relief, the true power of prenatal yoga and mindfulness lies in repetition and regulation. By choosing a 6 or 12-session series, we move beyond "stretching" into deep-seated birth preparation.
The Cumulative Benefits of a Multi-Session Series:
Building Somatic Memory: During labor, the "thinking brain" often takes a backseat. By practicing specific breathwork and vocal toning (informed by my musical background) over 12 weeks, these tools become instinctive. When the time comes, your body will remember how to breathe without you having to tell it to.
Progressive Pelvic Floor Preparation: Each trimester brings different physical demands. A long-term series allows us to focus on functional mobility—shifting from building strength in the second trimester to intentional softening and "opening" techniques as we approach your due date.
Nervous System Conditioning: High-stress levels can impact both parent and baby. Regular, 2-hour immersions in restorative holds and mindfulness (similar to Hypnobirthing) train your nervous system to down-regulate quickly, providing a "reset" that carries through your entire week.
Advanced Birth Prep (The "Golden" 37+ Weeks): For those in their final weeks, our sessions shift focus. We use specialized acupressure techniques and gravity-assisted movements to encourage optimal fetal positioning and support a natural induction process.
Your Questions, Answered
-
You don’t need a dedicated studio space! A cleared area in your living room or bedroom large enough for a yoga mat is perfect. I bring the "zen" to you—I provide the music, yoga bolster & blocks, heating pad, essential oils and the calm presence; you just provide the space where you feel most comfortable.
-
For Prenatal Yoga sessions, I recommend having your own yoga mat for hygiene and comfort. However, I can provide specific restorative props (bolsters, blocks, comfort measures). We can also use "home props" like pillows and blankets to ensure you can recreate these restful positions on your own between our sessions.
-
The yoga sessions are primarily designed as a one-on-one "mother-centered" experience to focus on your body and baby. However, partners are highly encouraged to join for the last 20 minutes of restorative holds, where I can teach them how to provide the forehead, jaw, and lower back massage techniques safely.
-
Not at all. While first-time parents love the comprehensive 3-hour deep dive, many second or third-time parents book me for a Refresher Workshop or a VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean) Preparation session to focus on specific comfort measures they may have missed the first time around.
-
Most clients find the "sweet spot" to be early in the second trimester (around 14–16 weeks). This gives us enough time to work through the 12-Pack Journey, ensuring that by the time you reach 37 weeks, your breathwork and mindfulness tools are second nature.
-
I primarily serve families in Stayner, Collingwood, Wasaga Beach, Thornbury & The Blue Mountains, Midland, Meaford, Barrie, Orangeville & Caledon. I am happy to travel to Muskoka, Orillia, and Owen Sound for a small additional travel fee to cover the time and mileage.
Capture the Journey
Your transition into parenthood is a story worth preserving. Beyond our work in the birth room and on the yoga mat, I offer professional, soulful photography to document these fleeting moments.
Maternity Sessions: Best booked between 28-34 weeks to celebrate your form and your connection to baby.
Newborn Photography: Gentle, baby-led sessions in the comfort of your home, capturing the raw beauty of those first few weeks.
Fresh 48: Documentation of those first hours of life, whether at the hospital or home.
